hotel lucia suites
with denise corso design
Being the first hotel to be independently branded by Provenance Hotels, the Hotel Lucia begins a series of urban hotels centered around the display of art. The artwork in this case are the black and white prints of photojournalist David Hume Kennerly. Several years after the renovation the two guestrooms at the ends of each floor are redesigned as two room suites. The top floors contain a living area and bedroom, an intimate hospitality suite made for entertaining.
A new fireplace, cabinets in dark red-brown Sapele wood and a mini bar surfaced in honed absolute black granite add to the sensual richness of the space. Small chromed theatrical spotlights illuminate the room by highlighting art with strong graphic imagery. Furnishings covered in tightly woven blanket wool and plush velvet add to the desire to sit and linger.
