bite restaurant
with denise corso design
Hung in the lofty, sky lit balcony areas of the Hotel Murano lobby, the Bite Restaurant is a series of linear dining spaces. Each area has a different experience to present. The bar area is tucked away for the sloping skylights and glows with its cast milk glass top illuminated at night. Opposite the bar and sharing its raised platform are a series of booths surrounded in wood, each with a single glass cloche pendant light.
The edges of the balcony are left open with light wood tabletops and simple seating until a tall circular banquette is encountered. Larger groups can be seated at this bright orange colored island and be hidden away from the rest of the diners. Separating high and low levels of the dining area is a stainless steel and stacked glass sculpture by the Greek artist Costas Varotsos, created in situ. This artwork adds to the dreamy cloudlike feel of this restaurant against the sky.
